Untrusted request input controls the destination of an outbound HTTP request, enabling Server-Side Request Forgery (CWE-918). An attacker can reach internal services or cloud metadata endpoints. Do not build request targets from user input; validate against a strict allow-list of hosts, resolve and re-check the address, and block link-local/private ranges.
