Java native deserialization of untrusted data can lead to remote code execution via gadget chains (CWE-502). ObjectInputStream.readObject instantiates arbitrary classes from the byte stream. Avoid native serialization for untrusted input; use a data-only format such as JSON, or if unavoidable, install a strict allow-list ObjectInputFilter (ObjectInputStream.setObjectInputFilter) before reading.
